Motor racing ace Seb Morris delivered yet another sparkling performance on his return to the fearsome Nurburgring-Nordschleife in Germany on Saturday, 7th October, to help Walkenhorst Motorsport finish the penultimate race of the VLN Endurance Series in an excellent fourth place.

On his third back-to-back weekend of high-profile action, the 21-year-old BRDC Superstar and MSA Team UK driver made his latest appearance in the renowned VLN category and again confirmed his star quality with a terrific opening stint.

Taking the start of the four-hour race from 12th on the grid in the No.35 Walkenhorst Motorsport BMW M6 GT3, Marford driver Morris – who resides in Chester – served up a terrific drive, his first in the dry at the Nordschleife in the BMW, to climb through the upper order into the top eight.

Setting the scene perfectly for team-mates Alex Lambertz and Jordan Tresson in their respective stints, the trio went on to finish the encounter at the 14-mile track in fourth place and only 50 seconds shy of the podium.

“I was really pleased we managed to finish P4 overall out of a massive entry of 150 cars”, reflected Morris, “It was good to go from P12 to P8 in my stint and I set times close to the leaders, even though it was my first time in the BMW in the dry conditions, so I was very happy with that.

“I felt confident in the car and able to push, the M6 GT3 is brilliant to drive. I have to say a huge thank you to the guys at Walkenhorst and BMW who have been fantastic with me, I can’t wait to hopefully be back soon!”

Aside from being a tremendous result in its own right, Morris underlined his impressive adaptability in GT endurance racing after making a seamless transition back to the BMW from the Lamborghini Gallardo he piloted to victory on his debut in the International GT Open at Monza a week prior.

One week before that, of course, the Welshman won the coveted British GT Championship title at Donington Park Grand Prix Circuit in the UK at the wheel of a Bentley Continental GT3 with series team-mate Rick Parfitt Jnr.
